Moored

Acrylic on Canvas

A gnarly old post (aka pylon or bollard - or so I'm told) with about as much character as its possible for an inanimate object to have, I just couldn't resist putting this guy on canvas.

Piwhane Spirits Bay

Acrylic on Canvas

This painting, through the use of bold colours and strokes, attempts once again to capture the serenity and beauty of the New Zealand coastline. The original painting can be found proudly displayed in the Te Hana Cafe (arguably the best pies in the north island).

Changing Light

Acrylic on Canvas

Bold strokes and vibrant contrasting colours were used in this piece in an attempt at capturing the movement and mood of a particularly brilliant sunrise in a little coastal town in New Zealand called Mangawhai.

Fading Light

Acrylic on Canvas

Inspired by the stunning evenings that can be found on the Atlantic coastline, this painting recreates on canvas the fusion of movement and light that occurs where the sun, ocean and shoreline meet.
